Business & Legal Affairs Services
We provide assistance on all business and legal affairs matters, including development, production, post production, sales and distribution, for scripted and non-scripted productions in all forms of entertainment, including film, television, and premium digital. Our services include:
- Assisting development executives and business affairs executives in negotiating and/or drafting all rights acquisitions, attachments (including writers, directors, producers, EPs, and showrunners), and collaboration and shopping agreements;
- Creating and implementing legal process and best practices, including development and rights acquisition protocols and policies;
- Providing rights and chain of title analysis;
- Negotiating network and platform service agreements or license agreements.
Production Counsel Services
We provide production counsel services for scripted and non-scripted projects and have been approved by all major broadcasters, distributors, and premium digital platforms. We work as an integrated component to existing business and legal affairs and to active productions. Our services include:
- Implementing production protocols and overseeing day-to-day production legal;
- Negotiating and drafting host, talent, producer, EP, director, writer, and other production agreements;
- Overseeing clearance matters, including clip and music licensing and product integration;
- Providing title clearance opinions and fair use opinions;
- Providing production risk management and analysis;
- Overseeing guild relations, including WGA, SAG/AFTRA, DGA and IATSE.
