WT Clients: Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture Opens in Riverside, CA

Actor and comedian Cheech Marin donated 500 pieces from his singular art collection to create a new museum in Riverside, CA. The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art and Culture opened on June 18, 2022, and is the first major museum dedicated to Chicano art and culture in the United States.
The Center, called “The Cheech” for short, houses works by Chicano artists in a 61,420 square-foot mid-century building as part of the Riverside Art Museum. The works include paintings, photographs, sculptures, and drawings, as well as an educational component.

Cheech Marin is represented by Stan Coleman, who worked with Mr. Marin for five years to bring this project to fruition.
