WT Wins: Trusts & Estates Litigation Team Wins on Motion Against Vexatious Litigant in Marin County

On Thursday, August 1, 2024, the Weintraub Tobin Trusts and Estates litigation team won on a motion in Marin County to have a pro se party declared a vexatious litigant.

A victory against serial litigators, the order puts the party on a list maintained by the California courts, and requires that the party obtain a pre-filing order from the Court before being allowed to begin any new litigation. This is the first granting of such a motion so far this decade in Marin County, with a fairly small number of the same motion granted statewide during the same period.

Weintraub of counsel litigator Evan Winet was the primary working attorney on the matter, along with shareholders Gary Rothstein and Daniel Kim.
